The second half of our honeymoon took us to the southern half of Vietnam. After Hue, we had a private car take us to Hoi An - a quaint town known for their food, lanterns and tailoring. Ryan got a nice sport coat, I got a few pairs of capris and we eat the best meal of our trip!

For dinner, we went to Morning Glory, and had the best meal of our trip. We feasted on Vietnamese street food, such as banh khoi and fried wontons. YUM!! By the way, notice Ryan's new hat? I bargained to get that down to $3! I could have gotten it down to $2.50, but Ryan wouldn't let me!
On the way to the airport the next morning, we checked out Marble Mountain. I'm glad we went early in the morning because it was HOT and walking up all those steps was not easy!
The highlight of our honeymoon was our 5 nights in Nha Trang. We split our stay between the Evason Ana Mandara and the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay (which we were only able to afford thanks to an amazing package deal I found through Luxury Link). We didn't sightsee a thing here. We spent our days reading on the beach, swimming in the sea or in our private pool (it was amazing!), and eating overpriced food at the hotel. It was pure luxury and exactly what we imagined our honeymoon to be.

I could get used to life like this!
We had a mixed seafood dinner one night, and lunch on the beach during the day.
After 2 nights at the Evason Ana Mandara, we transferred to the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay where was had an overwater bungalow with our own private pool.
Our "butler," No, arranged a sunset longboat cruise for us since we were honeymooning - complete with champagne and hors d'oeuvres!
The views from the resort were amazing, especially sunset and the bungalows all lit up at night.

We reluctantly left bliss to finish our trip in Saigon, or Ho Chi Minh City as it is called now. After lounging on the beach it was hard to go back to a big city and spend all day sightseeing, but we had to check out the War Crimes museum (which made our blood boil) and the local markets.

We visited the Cu Chi Tunnels where the Vietcong hid and lived during the war. The tunnels were tiny and made me claustrophobic!

Since food is a big part of the traveling experience for us, we had to partake in Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) at Pho 24. We also tried cafe sua da made with "weasel coffee." Rumor has it that when the weasels eat the coffee and then poop them back out, the coffee is much smoother. We had to try it!
We ended our amazing two weeks with dinner at the Temple Club (where Brangelina ate) and Fanny's ice cream shop. Yes, that's Chili Chocolate ice cream!
Vietnam was an amazing experience. We had no idea what to expect since Marines from our fathers' generation had fought and died there, but we were amazed and how beautiful the country was and how friendly the people were. And I loved spending two blissful weeks with my husband without anything interrupting our time together!
