Meet our friend, Sprinkles!

One morning, Ryan and I came downstairs and noticed that we had a furry friend sleeping on my chair on our porch. Since our porch is on the second floor, we have no idea how she got up there unless she shimmied up the drain pipe or jumped on top of Ryan's car and again on to the balcony. We named her "Sprinkles" after Angela's beloved kitty from The Office. She looked pretty comfortable and warm in the sun, so we decided not to disturb her. She slept there all day! Talk about a cat nap!

Welcome to Our Humble Abode!

I have hesitated to post pictures of our home since it's not completely set up yet. Sure, we have our furniture and some pictures up, but we plan on decorating with wedding pictures and some of our wedding gifts when we come home at the end of July. But, since it's semi set up and clean, let me give you the grand tour!

Welcome to Parkside A-8! Yes, it's a pink duplex.

First floor - our garage which usually houses my pink Toyota Vitz!

Second Floor - The kitchen and dining area.

Our newest purchase that we both love! A Tibetan wine bar.

These shisa lion-dogs sit on top of our cupboards and protect our home. Legend has it that the female has her mouth closed to keep all of the good things in and the male has his mouth open to let all of the bad out. No Okinawan home is complete without shisa!
